Highlights in my life:

Education in humanities. Highest degree: Ph.D from Bolwing Green State University
Work experience: newspaper reporter in China Daily; Instructor of Sociology at BGSU, IPFW, Hillsdale College in Michigan; IT Professional at DMR, PHI, Sprint; Clinic Research Coordinator at KCCC, USOncology;
Unpaid work experience: mom of two American-born Chinese children — a seven-grader and a sophomore at MIT.

Ideal profession – college teaching;

Hobbies — reading, writing, gardening, music;

Dislike: buffet, which leaves me with guilt and regret after indulging in good food.

Most valued possession: Time

According to my daughter, the above should all be erased.  I should write about my life and my interests.  I will consider her suggestion later.

An anecdote as a disclaimer
During my first class to the college students on American popular culture in Bowling Green State University, I told my class, “Nobody can claim to know everything on any topic, even if he/she is an expert in the field. This is my position.” So was it then, so it is now, so shall it be in the future.

Keep a moment of suspension of disbelief now when you read this — great men/women think alike, as if it were true.  If my ideas clash with those of the readers’, think of this joke or rather true statement.
